Pro-Tools M-Powered 8 - Win7 64bit Constant Lag
Hi, i'm new to this forum so I do not know if a topic like this exists already but i'm having problems with pro tools on my tower. Almost every time I hit save or try adding an effect like Boom, delays, etc. It seems to take an awful long time to load. For example, I hit save after doing a few minor things, like just creating a blank template... then it seems to freeze, but after about a minute it unfreezes and seems fine for a while. Then if I try minimizing and maximizing it just freezes entirely. Even when I'm adding effects, one day I simply created a blank template and tried to launch Boom, it literally took 4-5 minutes to load, I know that there are issues with 64 bit windows, but I haven't read any that are like mine, most others are skipping or slow; mine just stops working. Any help is appreciated!
Specs: Intel 2.4GHz Quad Core, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, 8 gig Ram. Note: I have ran this software on my Alienware before my tower and it runs fine, just loads some effects slow but it doesn't glitch or lag out like my tower. I have an alienware Laptop M17x (2.6GHz Dual Core extreme, 4 gig ram, Windows Vista 32bit) I'm also using a Fast Track Ultra interface if that helps some. Thank you! |
