Audio Technica AT4040 Microphone???
Has anyone used these mics??? Are they good??? I am thinking about buying a pair for overheads and vocals. I need some feedback or some alternative choices.

Re: Audio Technica AT4040 Microphone???
Hello. Those are very good mics. Very good indeed. You can use them for drums for sure, and really anything. They are excellent all around mics. Even for vocals, although it's been my experience that for most female vocals and some male vocals you probably want something else. But try them for yourself. Hey, you can also use them (carefully) for kick, snare and toms. Good luck.

Hello. Me again. Yes I forgot to mention alternatives. You have many many alternatives, so it comes down to budget. I'll give you a few in that same price range. Earthworks SR77, B.L.U.E. Baby Bottle, RODE NTK. Those are some, and as I mentioned before, you have many, many, many, many more. I am sure other people will come in and give you others. Good Luck.
