Re: 002r Monitor Outputs heavily distorted
mac pro 2 x 2.66 ghz dual-core intel xeon
002 rack protools 7.1.1 OS 10.4.11 3gb ram it seems to be all outputs of the 002 rack that are distorting. not normal distortion, like digital noise, very harsh. |

Re: 002r Monitor Outputs heavily distorted
Are you running iTunes or something like that? If you are then turn down the volume on iTunes itself.
Are you running a session or what? Need more info to help you out.

Re: 002r Monitor Outputs heavily distorted
Did you ever fix this problem? I'm having a very similar issue with an 002 I just purchased.
I was using an Mbox2 on my PC and everything was working fine. I bought a used 002 and all of the outputs are heavily distorted. It's not a clipping, but a digital distortion. Very little bass and a lot of noise @ 1K and up. The distortion is present in all outputs, including the headphones. Everything sounds fine when I switch back to my Mbox2. I've deleted all the preference files and the database files, no luck. My current thinking is it may be my firewire connection. I have a non digi approved FW card, but it does connect and all the appropriate lights are lit. I'm heading out today to buy a new FW card with the TI chipset to see if that fixes the problem. Could this be a power supply issue? My serial number ends with G so it should be one of the ones after they "fixed" the problem. There's never been a problem with it powering up. Thanks for any help. |

Re: 002r Monitor Outputs heavily distorted
Sorry to deviate a little from the subject, you mentioned about the serial numbers, thats exactly what I am looking for , a listing with those serial numbers, would really appreciate if someone has any info on that.
thank you |

Re: 002r Monitor Outputs heavily distorted
I believe if the serial number ends in A-F you should contact digi for the replacement harness.
