That usually takes a couple of days to emerge. I'm sure once it does, the relevant threads will be moved to the new sub-forum.

Moved the discussion to General - https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=419745 - don't want to make a change before talking it through, since creating 'yearly' subforums did not seem to be well received in the past.

this seems the most sensible approach.

... with an annual fee for access of course

So... move the threads from the 2018-2020 subforums into the 2021 subforum and rename that to Pro Tools?

I've moderated a few large forums and had this decision to make numerous times. It came down to the bulkiness, or sparseness, of a particular subforum, but not the updated product names themselves. This one doesn't seem overly crowded, so the status quo doesn't offend me personally.

I think the biggest concern is with threads that would cross over between years (subforums) or have to be restarted in the new subforum.

I'll do this by week's end unless there's concerns raised - move the threads from the 2018-2020 subforums into the 2021 subforum and rename that to Pro Tools.

One downside would be we'll hear from people having problems with PT 2018. Which is 4 years out of date. And they probably won't mention their version in the post title.

There's going to be so many posts about 2022 and ongoing issues with 2021, is it a good idea to lump in the last 5 years of releases? I don't know the best answer.
