Default Install new HD for Leopard uggrade?

Non-techno guy here installing new drive to Mac Pro for fresh Leopard install for PT 8 drive. I just booted up after putting new drive in. First message i get - do I initialize that "new disk" or ignore?
Thanks, probably more questions to come.

I've got partition page open- name drive, 1 partition, Mac Os Extended (journaled) not locked for editing ? I'm waiting to hit the "partition" button till someone tells me if that's correct.
