This poses a wee bit of an issue.

I too have been considering an arm on mine.

I assume you mean the new unit, but I'll still discuss this about the Control 24 console as well, as some things relate to both. Depending on which console you use, the standard or Mirage series, it appears there may be a difference in some aspects. (Not sure if the mirage has a rear access, looks like it wouldn't)

1 issue with the Control 24 console, and standard C24 console, is that you would have to leave the rear access panel off in order for a clamp on style to work. Not an issue for me as I leave mine off anyway. Stupid to have to remove the panel every time I want to switch 48 every time.

Another issue is that many arms lift the monitors quite a bit, or keep them VERY far out front. Positioning them in the center would give you a fixed 'length'. Positioning them left or right, with the ability to swivel/swing 'out' would bring them closer, yet take them off center.

If a guy could find an adjustable height (Not hard) but telescoping (tough I think), then you'd be set.

I definitely need to grab something. Even the 22 is hard to see.... kind of a pain. Though I generally don't rely on reading too much, I depend more on quickkeys and my board. Still would be nice to have close fore fine edits.

Do a search for ergotron on ebay. They make lots of cool stuff like that.

I put two Ergotron's holding two 19 LCD's on our desk. This drops the monitors right over and just above the c/24's meter bridge (With a slight angle). Keeping a low profile for viewing into the studio.

I had to add some wood shims to clamp onto. Note: I also do not use the rear Argosy (long) panel door.

Ergotron 200 with desk clamp system. (I had these from my last system and there are other variations)

For those with bad eyes(like me) I set a friend's rig(C24 in custom desk) with a 32" LCD at 1920x1080. His second screen(20" LCD) sits on a nearby speaker stand and can be moved to the desktop for those Melodyning sessions(otherwise he works on a single screen). Vizio 1080P on sale for $499 and looks amazing
