1 gig of dual chan. memory

two Maxtor IDE HDs

using onboard video


I can get PT-LE going but when i try to do anything it says I need to maybe lower the buffer size.
So I do that and...
THEN! it tells me I need to raise the Buffer size in the nexct error.

Have you done all the required tweaks? Are the drives operating in DMA mode?

Well i am not sure if I did all I need to

But I installed some HOT FIX for XP to work with dual core.
I did the stuff in the Manual.

I guess one thing I also need to feel good about is whether or not I am going to be able to use and benefit from my DUAL CORE AMD CPU or should i have not got that???
