wrong download

Hi All
i used to use protools HD but am now modernising and have upgraded my mac, hardware etc.. i now wish to use latest version protools studio and wanted the free 30 day trial to see if its suitable however in downloading somehow protools ultimate has been downloaded ? i wonder if this is because i was previously on HD on the ilok ? is there away to get rid of this and download the correct version protools studio as a free 30 day trial ? thanks

There is only one download - Studio and Ultimate are the same install. Which one launches depends on the licence on your iLok.

Thanks Dominic .. so is there no way of me trialing studio before purchasing it or because my ilok was previously HD do i have no choice ? ? i probably dont need ultimate but need to try studio first to be sure ?

Perhaps you can use a different ilok dongle. You can also use a subscription license of Protools Studio for one month to try it out.

Hi summerbankstudio.....

The 30-day Trial is Pro Tools Ultimate. We don't offer a trial for Artist or Stdio at this time.

The installer is a universal one so it supports Artist, Studio and Ultimate and the Ultimate 30 day Trial.

If you really are set on trying out the Studio, I can send a temp license that expires - let me know but Ultimate is just more tracks and features. Should be good to get a taste for it.
