Default Click Plug In - Tempo is not consistent

System:
MAC 10.5.6
Pro Tools LE 7.3
MBOX 2

Basically what's happening is I'm running the click plug in on an AUX Track and busing it out and recording an audio version. But for some reason the click falls off in places, not consistent. Tempo is 188 1/4, single notes.
What's happening here?

Have you inadvertently created a tempo map?

no, the tempo falls in tiny increments, here and there, almost like the software is lagging.

I have seen this click problem happen. A work around could be making an audio track and have it under a ticks not samples. Set your tempo. Record a cowbell or whatever you like to hear for your click and paste it on the quarter notes on the grid of course, so then highlight bar 1 to bar 2 and press option R to repeat and now you have a click track. Also if you use the tempo map the click with move on grid when you do tempo changes
