HFS+ Disk Support
One of the limitations for M-powered is HFS+ Disk Support. What exactly does this mean? With LE can you read Mac Disks or something? Does LE come with MacDrive or something, or is it built in. Any info would be great, thanks.

Last time I checked, if you have both LE and MPowered installed, and the HFS+ option installed for LE, it will work in MPowered as well.

Re: HFS+ Disk Support
Fantastic, that is exactly what I wanted to know.
A couple more questions. Would installing macdrive be the same or a better alternative? And what if I used my old LE disks to install just the HFS+ option. Is that possible? I use m powered now and no longer have LE hardware (I had an 002) But I still have my disks and what not. Would i have to install LE entirely? I just want the HFS+ support in m-powered. |

Re: HFS+ Disk Support
Its the same as MacDrive, its made by the same company. I have used M-Powered with the MacDrive standalone and had zero problems.
I'm not sure about being able to install just the hfs+ support from the LE disk

Re: HFS+ Disk Support
The thing is, Ive installed macdrive before, and it gave me permission errors and things of that nature when I went back into OSX and ran the the disk util, so I would prefer something built into the program.
Does anyone know if I can install LE completely, then uninstall everything but the HFS+ option? |

They are the same thing. If you had "problems" with MacDrive, you're going to have "problems" with LE as well.

Re: HFS+ Disk Support
Not all versions of LE have HPFS+ support - I believe it started with version 7.3.

Re: HFS+ Disk Support
O. Well I have 7.4 LE. I just recently had a 002. I'd like to install LE then uninstall it, but leave HFS+ support. Having LE and Mpowered seems like it could cause problems.. maybe when uninstalling plugs or something of that nature.. maybe it stores settings and prefs in the same locations, and stuff like that. =[
Maybe I should just wait for Leopard support. *sigh* that would solve everything. I work at store thats an m-audio dealer, and the sales rep told me word around the company is 1-2months. Meh |

Re: HFS+ Disk Support
I thought I read a post from Digi that stated that you could NOT install LE and Mpowered on the same drive. I could be wrong.
