Default Slicing/Separating clips How To?

Pro Tools 10 / Windows 7

I haven't used Pro Tools as a sequencer regularly since Pro Tools 7.4. And Im running in to some workflow issues that are truly slowing me down.

How do you slice/separate a midi/clip clip? The only way Ive figured out how to is by highlighting the clip and selecting (separate by the grid) but this gives me multiples slices at one time.

I want to be able to to make just one slice/separate to the grid . If the is also a keyboard shortcut associated with this process please tell me this also.

thanks in advance
