Re: Waves 360 Surround Tools
I'm testing the 14days demo version in DVD soundtrack editing and remix just from last week and I have the follow opinions:
1) 360imager is very difficult to control for a matter of phasing and coloured inter-channel image... At this time I prefer to use traditional ProTools HD mixer panning facilities 2) 360downmix is a great tool that fill the gap of DigiRack in this kind of setup, also if I'm not sure it's working really like an AC3 DVD consumer decoder... But it helps in monitoring how 5.1 projects will sound in a stereo sys 3) 360compressor works fine, but not much more than Digirack multichannel Comp 4) 360IDR is beautiful if you want to dither 5.1 bounce in one click 5) The 360verb is actually the only one solution in multichannel reverbers, due to the decision of Kind of Loud about Realverb for HD platform Peace AJP Hotminds Multimedia Group
