ok. Ive actually been using the Ozonic Keyboard with also double as the audio card. Ive had no problem with it after getting the driver installed. I'm going to put alot more though into the pc I get know. Im not familar with Pentium D, Is your dual processor 2.8ghz per core or total. Also do you set one processor for Rtas?

Also spkguitar I check out your gear list. I feel like a littel kid. Can I come over to your house to play with all your toys..lol

Pentium D = dual core

my cpu is 2.8 dual core = Pentium D 920

i don't set one processor for RTAS.

i use UAD-1express for cpu intensive plugins.

i also use the TC Electronics M350 for effects / reverb - it is a hardware rack mount processor with digital in / out.

so i have that connected to my system digitally, and there is very little latency using it this way (.8ms).

if you use the analog / digital / analog route, you get:

70ms (convert analog to digital)
.8ms (processing time)
70ms (convert digital to analog)

that is a total of 140ms latency.

but if you use it in an "all digital" mode, you get .8ms delay time - which is not really noticeable.

So this is what I ended up with.

Custom Built
Pentinum D 945 (3.4ghz) 2mb
500 GB SATA (7200rpm)
External Drive 250 GB (USB)
Motherboard - Intel DG965WH Media Series
2 GB Hyper Kingston

So Far Everything has been working great.

Thanks for all your help.

Intel Motherboard are not the fastest, but very stable. Good choice, i said
but... i got some error memory with Kingston memory's. I change for corsair value (2 x 1Go), and it's ok now.

Cheers

Also, the Pentium "D" is not a good choice, not, a true dual core, not optimized, and very hot...
If you can, take a Core2duo, and don't forget to buy a nice power unit, very important !
Enermax or fortron are good.

for power supplies, i use the coolmax fanless ones.

http://www.directron.com/fanlessps.html

remember that ANY fans you add to your system will add noise!

a noisy room is worse than a bad engineer!
