Audio files disappear after consolidation
HI!
I'm having a more o less recurrent problem. Sometimes, when I consolidate a heavily beat detectived multitrack drums it consolidates perfectly (I even listen looking for clicks or bad edits. But when I close the session and open it again it says that there's some missing files and when I search the entire system they are nowhere. I usually duplicate the playlist before consolidation, but yesterday forgot to duplicate before.... and now I have to do all the editing again.... (maybe I have to quit working on weekends... he). The strange thin is that it happened a couple of times on two different systems. Mine is PT9.0.3, the other two I don't know exactly, but they where ProTools 9 too. Any cue? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Audio files disappear after consolidation
This is weird. When you consolidate, it should create a brand new file in your audio files folder.

Yes of course. But as soon as I close the session they disappear completely, so they are not longer in my audio files folder.
But, even weirder is that I've experienced this on other two completely different system. Thanks! |

Re: Audio files disappear after consolidation
Did You Do A Physical Copy Of The Sessions From Other Drives? (Did You Drag Using The Finder)
Could It Be That, You Saved A "Copy" Without Consolidate/Copy Audio. Try The Original Audio Folder, Maybe The Audio Is There. On The Other Hand PT, Knows Where It Saved The Audio, Maybe You Turned Off A Drive? Look In The Session Drop Down (Disc Allocation) Or The Audio Finder, On The Right (Check "Full File Path") To Find Your Audio. |
