Poll: How many still using PPC?

Had an HD3 Accel system on a G5 Dual 2.7. Was perhaps the most solid system I've had. But I also used it for video work and it was showing its age. I upgraded last month to an 8 core but opted for the Magma chassis to keep the old PCI cards. A week of transition struggles, but PT is again really solid and the 8 cores handle the VI's like nobodies business. I could not justify the price of the PCI to PCIe card swap from Digi though. With the Magma I could also keep the Kona LH video capture card I use for Final Cut Pro. (all that said, with the economy, I'd have preferred to get another year out of the G5 machine).

We still have the Dual 2.7 with a Chassis in our Mix room and it is solid as a rock. We opted for a second HD machine with Satellite for Stem mixing and Video Playback, it is totally Brilliant. Great quality HD Pictures, no problems with the main mix machine being taxed, and they lock together with Sample accuracy.

Now if only we could send multichannel audio from one Rig to the other via Lightpipe or ethernet.

PPC Here too.

DP 2.5, 7.4.2 on 10.5.7, a bit picky occasionally but very solid. I would like to get a better computer but changing cards or getting a chassis at this moment just seem crazy. I can wait, perhaps newer cards (we need 3x+the power!!) new computer.. I am sure there will be some good and fairly priced upgrade path...

Avid seems to want to treat Digi like a piggy bank lately. Hopefully someone who hasn't been smoking PCP will grab the wheel pretty soon... Before a lot of heavily invested users get fed up and bail.

HD3 on G5x2. No need to upgrade. No desire to upgrade. REALLY torqued with Apple and Digi...
