Can't complete the open session... because translating tracks

I have a session from PT8 MP. I worked on it yesterday in PT10. Today when I tried to open (.ptx file now) it it looks like it loads up the tracks but gets to a point where it stops and says something about Can't complete the open session... while translating tracks.

I CAN open it in PT 11 (with plugins missing) and some other threads here said that once opened in PT11 it would work in PT10, but I still have the same problem in PT10. Can't open it even after I have opened it in PT11.

Any help?

This is the only 'transition project' that I really need to have work from PT8 to 10. I'll start the next one in PT10. But I need to finish this one. But I'm stuck since I can't open it today. Opened fine fine yesterday.

BTW I tried to open the original PT8 session file and that one also now gives the same error. So I can't open any of this project now outside of PT11.

I think this will fix it. I got a similar error during this time.

New ilok manager? Mine is the latest version. I just downloaded it on Friday.

Can you import into a new session?

Created a new blank session and started importing tracks. Seemed to be working so I alt-clicked to import them all. But again it gives the same error.

Not sure which track is the problem.

Must be something I created yesterday? As I recall, that was just one new lead guitar track (audio).

OK as long as I don't include the one guitar track that I added yesterday I can import everything else in now and it sounds correct.

I recreated the lead guitar track.

The track was an audio track with the following plugins:
Sans-amp PSA-1
Air MultiChorus
D3 Expander/Gate


I saved the session to a new name with the recreated track. Close PT10 and re-launched.

I get the same exact error now trying to re-open the new session.

It really does not like that guitar track! I know it needs work. But dang!

So I am stuck since I can't add this new track in.

I did confirm that I can save the session without the new guitar track and can reload it back into PT10. So I am at least back to that.

Any help?

If I recreate the guitar track the session becomes un-openable next time.

I have an an entire album, EVERY session on the album I get the Translate error. On PT 11 they will crash when it saves, but does not give the error. PT 10 it gives the translate error on the save. (typically autosave is what sets it off) Never have found a resolve other than dont save
