Default Increase Hardware Buffer Size? issues! PLEASE HELP!

I have increased to maximum settings and still get a error everytime I hit spacebar. I have a brand new mac book pro with 2 GB of ram. my settings are:

H/W buffer size 2048 samples
RTAS 2 processors
CPU Usage limit 90%
DAE Buffer: 1500ms (default)

I cant bounce, record or even play for that matter. Anyone have any of the same problems..are my setting incorrect. I have tried everything.

any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Have either of you gone through the steps in the 'troubleshooting' sticky thread at the top of this forum?

What other steps have you taken?

Have you searched the DUC for members with similar issues?

The wierd thing is that PT worked great with my G4 power book. It will not even run decently with the new mac book pro.

OS-10.4.11 2GB, 2.2 GHz Intel Core Duo
PT-7.4

Its also weird b/c i had a friend with a G5 that had the SAME issues. plenty of needed hardware and the software will not operate correctly.

It must be a setting or I must enable or disable something etc.

Thanks

This is a known issue in Leopard - usually reducing the number of processors in the Playback Engine will help.

My previous post may have been a little premature - if this was working previously and you say nothing changed, then maybe there's more to this.

What's the error number in the messages you're getting?
