Default Using outboard gear in Pro Tools (Video)

For those of you who wish to use outboard hardware such as EQs, compressors and reverbs with Pro Tools, I've produced a video covering the basics of how to do it. Have a look here

Great video. I was procrastinating the other day in the studio (when I should've been writing) and re-patched a few things to attach my Avalon 747 as an insert on my SAffire pro 40.

Everything worked as you described as an insert. The one thing I was hoping you were going to touch on is printing that track. So for some of us, we'll want to use that same insert on different tracks. To do this, we need to print the track back to PT's. This is where I ran into trouble, not being on HD, everything was understandable WAY out. I didn't have time to fiddle with insert delay. But this would be a good addition to video, or another video.

I've heard from other users that it's such a PITA that it's almost not worth fiddling with because of potential bugs in Hardware Insert Delay.

Thanks for your comments. I'll do a follow-up video soon on hardware insert delays and printing to track.
