Default Music Production Toolkit headache

Hi there...
All new here, but been using ProTools for about five years. Now getting some serious aggro loading up the Music Production ToolKit on a new computer and would love some feedback.
Installed as per usual with Pro Tools 7.1 updater. Every time I try to load up the toolkit, Pro Tools freezes when it tries to load the Toolkit plug-ins and closes after it comes across Broadband Noise Reduction (most often) and Hybrid etc...
I've installed and reinstalled four times and I'm now very slowly going mental.
Weirdly, I've tried Pro Tools 7.1 running with the toolkit uninstalled - and it works just fine.
I've also downloaded the latest PACE drivers for the ILok too, so it's looking like a Toolkit problem that I've never seen happen before.
Spec wise, I'm on Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3. PC is a Synergy Alpha AW100 - 2.8GHz Intel Dual Core, Intel P31 chipset, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 500GB hardrive.
Has anybody else had similar problems or has any ideas as to what to try next...?
Thanks tons
Wolfy

Check to make sure you dont have Internet Explorer 8 installed. It can cause a hang while loading PT.

Update your Pace drivers.

I don't know why you would be having this problem in 7.1, are you downloading it or do you have the DVD? There is a tookit 2 for an additional $50 (I think) which will give you 64 tracks and more plugs, I think it was for PT V8 but may work for you. But there is also an upgrade for the original (free) that may work, good luck.
