Can't update DINR , SMACK , SOUNDREPLACER from 7.4 to 8 !

I have the Music Production Toolkit v 7 that I use for my mac which is running 7.4 . I bought PTv8 for my PC and wanted to put the MPTK on there so since I have multiple iloks , I inserted ilok , downloaded the MPTK for 8 update for windows and all of the individual downloads that are version 8 for Soundreplacer , Smack , DINR and since I had the factory bundle , Joe Meek bundle , cosmonaut and moogerfooger bundle . Everything is installed and shows up but when I go to ADD / REMOVE software all of the above mentioned plug ins still say v7.4 . I understand how much digi stresses the importance of plug in compatibility ( especially with 8 ) so you can hopefully see why I'm anxious to get these up to 8 . I would greatly appreciate it if someone has any answers why these plugs see to stick at 7.4 and won't go to 8 after installing 8 download .I removed every plug that said 7.4 and installed the 8 download and it still said 7.4 ! I even tried leaving the 7.4 on there and installing over the one already on there. Could it be that I'm on 8.0.1 ? I recently re installed PT because I was having issues with 8.0.3cs1. Could that be it ? Also , on a PC , could I screw with a plug ins operation with PT by installing the same plug in twice ? Thank you for your time

I believe the plugs that come with MPTK !2!, will say 7.4, but are you saying you got 1 license to sync with two iLok keys?

You can try running the combo plug-in updater for Pro Tools 8.0-8.0.3:

Should I re install PT , then combo , then plugs ?
Or install plugs then combo ?
Does this make a difference ?
Like I said before , I'm a mac guy so I'm not used to my cpu being so finicky .
I'm getting the white noise blasts everytime I lay down audio . I can create a midi composition just fine but anything I record ...playback goes
sssssssssssssssssscucucuuuuucuucucssssssssss !

So I'm re tracing my steps to to find the culprit . That's why I'm back down to 8.0.1cs1 and wondering about installation order .

Are you good now? As I said before I don't think you'll get ver8 plugs with MPTK 7, am I wrong? What paragraph are you speaking about?

Oh , we're talking about different things . I was talking about the first paragraph of the link saying that the 8.0.3 plug in combo updater IS compatible with 8.0 and 8.0.1 . As for what you're speaking of , I have personally used a friends pc laptop with pt 8 and mptk7 and he had all of his plugs as v 8 , so...yes !
