I agree, when I do turn off the internet, dragging files from workspace resumes back to normal speed with out the spinning ball. But I need the net to email or down load omf's, email clients I am working with (1/4 of the time to log on here and google for issues and how to fix things lol)
I did strip my macpro down, turned everythign off and took out all un-needed startup items, etc.

I hope this will be addressed soon.

For long days and nights in a session, the waiting for the spinning ball gets in the way and adds up.

for me disconnecting internet did not work....
But as soon as I turn off bluethooth in my systemsettings drag and drop from workspace works fine..... and fast

Finally got mine working properly!!!!!

I made a new network setting and instead of having both my ethernet ports live, I deleted the unused one and kept the main one (connected to the network and my EuCon control surfaces) as an automatic config.

Hope this helps anyone else who is still having problems.

Can you explain how to do this? My Network setting currently looks like this:

I have dealt with this forever import problem for over a year now and I would absolutely love to import audio without it taking 2 minutes a file.

I can confirm that it still is the same problem on 10.6.8 and PT 9.03.. Solution is to disable the network card or airport. How this affects protocols like Eucon I don't know, havent testet that yet.
