Help with Soundcraft board!
hey guys, This is my First post on the board so I appologize if the thread is in the wrong place but i need some help.
Recently, I bought the new soundcraft board (si impact)*so pretty i know* and it has a 32 x 32 i/o that I have gotten to work with my pro tools 12 system however, at seemingly random times, I get this pesky 9129 error saying " Audio process could not be complete due to CPU issues....this could be a H/W buffer issue or clocking...." Ive been fighting with this for a while and have tried everything: tried all the h/w buffer sizes closing other processes puting the boards clock source to external and turning on MTC Tried other DAWS (ablton live lite, fl studio, cubase) all work fine the drive with screen shots of my errors and task manager https://drive.google.com/folderview?...UU&usp=sharing specs of computer: intel i5-4960k @ 3.5ghz 8gb ram windows 7 service pack 1 again PLEASE HELP THANKS! |

Re: Help with Soundcraft board!
i5 processors haven't been giving stellar performance with Pro Tools, and 8gb of ram is a little on the short side as well. I'd highly recommend following the "help us help you" link and post a sandra report so we can get a better idea of what we're dealing with.

Re: Help with Soundcraft board!
Hi there, I've also got an SI impact and I can't work out how to route audio out of protools into the SI Impact. I set a channel in the desk to receive via MADI USB Combo card channel x (same as sending out of pro tools) but no sound ....

Re: Help with Soundcraft board!
I found a useful video on YouTube. This may help you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMgqbufzbug
Also you want to make sure in you install the Soundcraft drivers for you board on your computer. ONce the drivers have been installed then you will need to go into the Soundcraft USB Audio Control Panel (software that is installed for the drivers). You will need to setup the Buffer Settings to match Protools. I am using ASIO Buffer Size 64 Samples in both Protools and the Si Control Panel configuration. It was a quick and dirty setup with no research or jedi mind control. You will also need to setup your I/O on each channel/track. I hope this helped you. Now my only problem is, I am trying to playback the live recordings I just did back to the SI impact Mains. If you figure this out, please let me know. Thanks in advance ! |

Re: Help with Soundcraft board!
Jaytm401, if you want to send audio through outputs 1 & 2 from the Daw to the mixer, you should select the Inputs on one of your stereo channels to be outputs 1 & 2 from the MADI card.
