Format cannot be changed - setting up inputs

Hi

well i am SO excited about PT 9! i have downloaded it and am now setting it up with a yamaha N12. I have used the n12 as my sound card with Cubase, logic, S1, DP, and Reaper. ASIO, 44.1/24/256

in each i can set MONO inputs on it. in PT 9 when i try and switch from the pre set up stereo inputs it says format cannot be changed

i have and NEED this set up

channel 1 - mono - Pendulum Audio Quartet
channel 2 - mono - LA 610
channel 3 - mono - Sebatron Thorax
channel 4/5 - stereo - Eleven Rack Audio
channel 6/7 - stereo - POD XT Pro
channel 8 - mono - direct elec input for vsti's such as amp 3 etc
channel 9/10 - stereo - triton pro
channel 11/12 - stereo - fractal audio axe fx

so how do i set up MONO inputs?
