Fast track ultra with iPad

Hi there
I'm trying to get my iPad to see my fast track ultra interface.
I see that this can work with a fast track pro (http://youtu.be/VFQ6vjhASww), but I can't get any audio recording app to see input from the fast track ultra.
I have it connected through a powered USB hub (I also have a power supply for the interface) and lightening to USB connector.
