old interfaces with Mixplus ?
I'm finally upgrading my system. Going for a dual processor G4 and a PT Mix Plus system.
I've currently got a PTIII Nubus system with an 888, 882, 882 and an ADAT i/o. I understand that I can use the 888,882,882 in my new system although they're only 16-bit interfaces. (I'll wait for another day to upgrade to the 24-bit interfaces). My question is this : can I use this "old" ADAT i/o in my 'new' system or will I have to upgrade it ? From what I can figure out on the Digi support area, I can do this but only because I'm using all 16-bit interfaces. Correct ? Any gotchas ??

Re: old interfaces with Mixplus ?
Sorry, you can't use the original ADAT Interface with Pro Tools|24 or MIX systems.
There is an upgrade available in Hardware Exchanges: ADAT Interface to ADAT Bridge I/O $795 (suggested list price of the upgrade, check with your dealer) ------------------ Bruce Paine eMarketing

Re: old interfaces with Mixplus ?
thanks Bruce - that was fast !
Was just looking through the whole upgrade area of the site and I might just go completely 24-bit. Will see what my dealer can do for me tomorrow (that plug-in offer is very cool indeed) regards from Dublin, Ireland.
