How do I match the tempo of an imported drum track
Hello.
I have an Mbox 1 + PTLE 6.3, which I haven't used for a while, and I've forgotten a few things about how it works. I remember seeing a video on Digi's site in which the presenter imported a drum track to PT, and then did something to make the "bars and beats" grid match up perfectly to the tempo of the drum track. He was then able to use this grid to align other tracks with the drumbeat. This is exactly what I want to do now, but I can't remember how. Can anyone instruct me? And where did the videos go? Jim. |

Yeah... This was one of the videos on the diskflix area (don't know if it's still there). I don't remember the exact video, but wasn't it simply highlighting the loop and then using "identify beat" (CTRL+I) and set the start and end time?

I agree with the person ahead of me. There is something inside of atleast protools le 6.9.2 , should be in others it's called beat detective. It says it can find out how to do the things you need. Read how to do it on the manual and if you'r lucky it will help.

They removed the DiskFlix when they redesigned the website, unfortunatley.
However, if you know where to look, you can still find them: Identify Beat Tempo Matching I would recommend downloading the windows media files ASAP, as I'm not sure if Digidesign will let this post stay up here.
