Default Need advice on software sampler/synth vrs hardware

I'm just about to make the big leap from MIX to HD2 and I'm wondering about the best way to go with sampled/synth sounds. I am a guitar player and I always record live drums guitars and occasionally horns, but I need some really convincing piano/Hammond B3/Pad sounds to fill things out. I was thinking about the Roland XR but I've seen a lot of mixed reviews. Is there a better plug-in option? I'm still living in the dark ages with PT 5.1.3 ... so, I'm not sure what the world of PT7 offers.

Thanks,

Alec

Piano -> Synthogy's Ivory

Hammond -> NI's B4 II

Pad -> Digidesign A.I.R's Hybrid

This is a smokin' trio.
