MDW EQ2.0 Bugs?
Is anyone else finding this thing extremely buggy?
I have version 2.0.2r28 [there are now separate 5 band and 3 band versions in the plugins folder] The other day i had really bad clipping distortion going on in a mix and 2 instances of this EQ had just started clipping horrendously without any indication. Sometimes hitting the snapshot button back and forth reset it, other times I had to deactivate and reactivate it.... Then, today I'm sweeping the HPF on a hi hat and I can't hear it doing anything- until all of a sudden it jumps in at 10K....On one side It sounds fantastic, it just doesn't seem to work properly?!?!?!? |

Re: MDW EQ2.0 Bugs?
I had a mastering session with about 20 (pairs) of it.
After reopening the session everything seemed out of phase?? putting an MS decoder after it solved it....but now it was clipping went back to 2.01r9 |

Re: MDW EQ2.0 Bugs?
V2.0.2 fixes the crashing problem. However, there's definitely some bizarre behaviour going on in multi mono version [see OP] - including the plugin's 'bypass' button not working.

Are you guys running 2.0.2r28 on intel chipsets? or on G5's? perhaps it's only buggy running it on Power PC chipsets? I've found with 2.0.1r9 & 2.0.2r28 that the display part of the GUI often defaults back to showing 6db values. I like to have mine set to 12db all the time, but sometimes when I load a saved session back & they all show up as 6db values even though it's actually set to 12db. The only way to fix it is to select either 6 or 24db values & then click back on the 12db setting again. This happens with every MDW you have in the session 3B or 5B. Perhaps this could also get fixed while we're at it? Matt |

Re: MDW EQ2.0 Bugs?
Could somebody supply a link to the earlier version? 2.01?
I just purchased the upgrade to 2.02 today. The multi-mono version began making little digital clicks every 5 seconds--with the sequencer stopped. It went away when I took the plug out. Also, is there supposed to be no stereo version? I couldn't find it. It'd be nice to see both channels at once with a de-link button if you want to do the sides different. And is there a version with sliders instead of knobs? This plug sounds brilliant--I wish it was inside of a McDSP interface. ...and lest it go unsaid, it's very cool to have GM himself on the case with this thread!
