new hdx cards supports 64 inputs outputs, double than older hd, and only connnects to new hd interfaces, 16 +16 digital in out, have two empty slots, so could I install 2 digital cards more? so could i get 32 in out digital? or must to install 2 interfaces as old ones.....

Well it would make sence that if you have 32 in and 32 out with the expansion bays included that you could have that going similtaniously, but I believe you can only have 16 in 16 out at on time but you can have 32 different......say mic pre's hooked up and only choose from 16 at a time.

16 in, 16 out total, regardless of whatever combination of analog/digital.

The way HD Native gets 64 i/o is through daisy-chaining various HD interfaces.
