Default fragged drives

hi, i have pt 24 mix plus, os9 on a g4 and have recently had problems with really fragged up drives.
it records for @ 5 secs then bins out with a frag error.
what is the best way of defragging the drive?

The absolute best and most trouble/problem free way is to copy everything from the fragmented drive to a freshly formatted drive. This is what most commercial facilities do (especially since drives are so inexpensive these days).

There was another lengthy thread on this just recently. Do a search.
