Default Stumped... Reason Rewire default loop length

This has bugged me for years, but I've let it slide...

When rewiring Reason into pro tools, the timeline (in both programs) always defaults to a loop of the 1st 4 bars, which can be really annoying at times. I can't figure out if it's a setting in PT or Reason, or if it's even something I can change.

Doesn't happen when I use Live via rewire, just Reason.

Surely I'm missing something simple, right?

It's worked this way for a long time now, through many different versions of both programs.

I want to be able to fire up Reason inside PT and not have it change the timeline selection, or stop playback, both of which it does.

Possible?

(thanks in advance)

Can't say I've had this happen in either PT10.3.9 or PT11.2.1. None of you state which PT version or which version of OSX you're running.

Both Foxes and I have that info in our signature(s).

It's been happening ever since I've been using Reason via Rewire into Pro Tools. I can't remember a time when it wasn't this way, tbh.

We're talking 8 or 9 years now...

Makes me think it's just a quirk of the Rewire implementation, and isn't something that can be changed.

Like I said - I don't have those kinds of issues with Reason and Rewire. What isn't clear is the exact problem you seem to be having. Is it creating a loop of 4 bars length when it should be some other length or is it just creating a loop when it shouldn't be? None of the posts here are clear.

But either way - not an issue here or for anyone else that I know of elsewise there would be more postings about it here.
