Dear Source Elements
Am I missing something or is Source Link still a 32 bit plugin with no support for Silicon? I have a comms folder in my autoload that has Source Link in it since I'm using source connect on a daily basis now... and Ive been forced to stay in Rosetta simply because this one plug in. Anyone know how to get around this? Nexus is also dead unless you get into a subscription plan but I can get around that.

Re: Dear Source Elements
I've been frustrated by this as well. I haven't tried it, but you should be able to use the PT Audio Bridge to route audio to and from SC if you want to not use Rosetta for PT.

Re: Dear Source Elements
PT audio bridge works fine. Ditch the link plugin. Who know when or if Source Elements will update this. They want everyone to use source nexus.

Re: Dear Source Elements
Having spoken with them at NAMM last week, some significant updates are coming in the next few months, including Source Connect 4 (Apple Silicon native). Source Nexus has essentially morphed into a different tool, as PT Audio Bridge is a free tool that does the same thing.

Re: Dear Source Elements
Since I have MTRX + DVS, I ditched Nexus and can't see any reason why I should come back to it, especially with introduction of Aux IO in PT.

Re: Dear Source Elements
there is no reason unless you're on Windows. Those users are stuck with having to use either Nexus or Link. In which case, it doesn't matter if Link is Silicon Native. This is probably why Source-Elements hasn't bothered updating it.

Re: Dear Source Elements
Not quite the same issue, but nearly. I use SC with Nuendo, and they're still VST2, which is no longer supported since N12...
Seems they're resting on their laurels a bit. |
