bwf metadata to FCP
Hi all.
I've been creating a library of music from a TV series to be used in upcoming seasons. The actual file names are quite simple, just codes, and the relevant descriptive information is in the "file comments" section of the workspace browser. This will work perfectly for me when editing music as I use the digibase search for my sfx currently, and have it down to a science. Problem is, I'd now like to give the majority of the cues to the picture editor so they can have access to them when rough cutting the storyreels. I sent them copies of a few wav files, but they are reporting that they can't see any of the file comments in FCP. Can someone who is more familiar with FCP tell me if you can ever see ANY metadata of a bwf file in FCP? Alternatively, is there an easy way to bulk export a text file or other format of my file names + file comments so that the assistant editor can tag their copies of the files by hand? Ot a more elegant solution to get the info into FCP? Otherwise I'm off to QuickKeys to hack together my own solution. Any thoughts appreciated! -adam-
