Default Reason Adapted vs Not-Adapted...how does it work?

I'm currently using ProTools with Reason Adapted. I'm going to be switching a current project to a computer that uses the regular stand alone version of Reason with ReWire, and I'm not sure what the difference is.

Can you bring up Reason in a midi track just like you do in the Adapted version?

How do you get Reason to play in sync and have the sounds play inside ProTools, is this part of the Reason/ReWire installation?

Thanks,
Arthur

I have both 2.5 and adapted, both show up in Pro Tools as inserts. The main differnce is full Reason has a shed load more patches and more instruments. The signal routing is just the same.

Regards

I think the difference is that in Reason Adapted, you get a fixed "rack", whereas with Reason Non-Adapted, you make whatever you want. Files saved in adapted should open in "regular", though certainly not vice-versa.

Reason Adapted lets you run 1 rewire stero-track, with the full version you can direct practically all your instruments to separate audio-tracks into PT in one take and at the same time you can listen to your reason Mixer as a sub if you wire it that way...
