Re: Other time signatures with Boom other than 4/4
Ok so I got 5/4 to work, seems Boom doesn't follow meter changes on a timeline. If I start a session with x/x meter it will stick with that meter even if I insert a meter change on the tempo map.
DigiTech maybe have a look at this and see if its still an issue in the 8.03pr I still havent updated cause I aint gonna fix whats not broke until there is a serious release. |

Re: Other time signatures with Boom other than 4/4
Correction, it will follow meter changes only if the region containing the notes is created once the meter is set. If you make a region with notes on say a 4/4 measure and then change the measure to 5/4 it will play 4/4 no matter what. At least thats in the one session I tested. Sorry DigiTech, would you like me to test it further? Or does it not matter due to the version I am running (8.0cs3)?

Re: Other time signatures with Boom other than 4/4
Boom does follow the session meter as long as the beats in the metric cycle tell it so but like Strike anything more than simple time signatures sound less convincing. The obvious workaround is to sequence on the timeline where compound and asymmetric meters can truly shine.

Hi James,
I´m trying to get Boom to work in my 5/4 session. Could you please explain how you made this work? - my session starts with 5/4 meter, but Boom keeps its 4/4 no matter what.. Cheers, Henrik Skram composer Oslo, Norway www.horbart.no
