Windows on Macbook pro Buffer errors driving me to insanity
Well its about that time where im at my wits end with pro tools, i am an australian recording artist who just got hold of a new system and im about to throw it all out the window and go back to my old mac...
installed pro tools 731 on my macbook pro which is running windows from a clean format with sp2 and recent updates . I have a 002 and an mbox 2 pro . My problem is that when ever i run tools with 1 or 10 tracks i end up stuck in the buffer loop and there is no way out ... increase buffer -63 "hit play" decrease buffer -66 "hit play" increase buffer and so on the same goes when recording or anything for that matter ..... i have tried reformating , updating every driver on the machine , firmware updates , external drives , and nothing seems to resolve the problem .... i think have 4 buddies who are techs at a few stores in sydney scratching their heads ... i think i need a big red hammer ...... |

Re: Windows on Macbook pro Buffer errors driving me to insanity
Are you sure you have that dual core hotfix installed and correctly configured. did you read my guide on the 9400.... because those are exactly the problems you will have if it isn't installed and properly configured.

rickk - I understand your frustration, but you will need to tone down your posts.
Now, did you or did you not install the required Windows XP Hotfix as recommended in this thread? |
