Consolidate won\'t consolidate?!

When I select over 20 regions in one track and try to consolidate them I keep getting an 'Access violation' error. This only happens one one track, other tracks will consolidate. I do still have my gain plugin available (as I recently read that a symptom of a faulty consolidation command was a missing gain plugin option). Duplicate also returns the same error. Any ideas?
