Default Bounce Problem

Am probably going to be flamed for not searching enough but I can't find the answer to my problem. So apologies in advance ... but I had a session earlier today where I tried to bounce the client's session and ended up with a file full of digital noise/buzz. Had to let the "client leave early whilst I edit". I've experienced this earlier this week ... and am getting worried.

PT11 and not happy with this risk. It's fortunate this client was cool but I'm not happy with this risk.

Any ideas?

M

Question Re: Bounce Problem

Online (realtime)? Offline? Which PT11 release? OS version? Plug-ins? HDX?

Question Re: Bounce Problem

What happens if you do an online/realtime bounce? What happens if you do an offline bounce with all the plug-ins inactive? The key is to find if there is an order of operations or a state where you can reproduce the problem all of the time.

You experienced this on the same session or on a different session?

Hi - thanks for your replies. It did it for both offline and realtime bounces. And I've had it happen with more than one session. They're really small sessions with only a handful of plugins on one channel and the master.

It's really strange as it's not consistent or possible to reproduce on demand. And not completely clear what step caused the problem to go away. I switched to the System Output when this was happening so it wasn't the I/O I'm using.

It doesn't do it now but I'm worried that it will again. I need to do an edit tomorrow and will have a play to see if I can get it back and will post a sample of the bounce if it happens.

Very odd...

Mike
