Default Artist Control has no support for Logic X, or OSX Mavericks

I can't express enough how deeply disappointed I am with my Artist Control.
This piece of "gear" consistently crashes ever since I upgraded to Mavericks.
When it does work, its so slow that half the time Logic Pro X doesnt even register that a fader moved, or that a track was selected.
Don't even get me started on the touchscreen, which now does....nothing!
I've scoured the forums for months, nothing out there. Disabling Appnap didn't fix it, the new Eucon 3.1.2 has not had any improvements what so ever.
Why is it taking so long to have BASIC compatibility?

EUCON is what's crashing Logic Pro X and Pro Tools 100% of the time

PlugIn Path: /usr/local/lib/libEuCon2.dylib
PlugIn Identifier: libEuCon2.dylib
PlugIn Version: ??? (1)

Why has AVID abandoned us Mac users?
I sincerely hope the guys at AVID are reading these forums, and are actually considering fixing this awful mess.

Just taken delivery of an AC, and I'm blown away with it. Works fine with pt11 and 10. Really fast response and navigation. I wasn't expecting it to be this good to be honest. I know I'm running a different platform to you - it's such a shame that Apple have done their best to cripple Avid software and hardware, again...

I can't and won't blame Apple for this, as the entire fault lies with Eucon software. Other manufacturers make controllers that work without issues.
The connectivity issue with Eucon existed long before Mavericks was even out.
I had issues on Snow Leopard even. But at least it worked 90% of the time back then. Now its totally useless. Instead of writing music i'm spending days figuring out how to get it to work!

Avid people, any ideas when we MAC users can expect a fix???

Did you disable app nap for eucontrol.app and the other one in there?

of course I disabled appnap, but unfortunately the problems are far worse than that. The AVID Artist Control surface simply isn't working in any capacity in Logic Pro X.

Sometimes I'm able to have fader control, but after a half-hour of working in a session, they drop, and freeze, while Eucon says it's still connected. Then the Library.Eucon extension crashes Logic.

Also if switching between applications while Eucon is working, will also cause it to crash.

I've assigned an IP address instead of having it on auto, like someone suggested earlier but it only made it more stable for about 15minutes, after which it went back to crashing.

I know I'm not the only one with these problems. Many fellow composers have abandoned the surface all together because of the major connectivity issues.

I'm hoping someone from AVID will chime in on this?

Check what Mavericks is doing to your network connection. From what I hear, people have taken days of tweaking various settings in Mavericks to get things even close to how they were before.

You can blame Apple for this. Other manufacturers have had trouble with Mavericks. Apple also make it very hard to "downgrade", even to a hardware level. Not Avid's fault.

Hi,
On Maverick with Eucontrol 3.1.2...
I was unable to find how disable App Nap on eucontrol.app.
Even if I make Ctrl-I, it didn't show the checkbox to disable app nap.
I was able to disable appnap for PT HD 11 but not for eucontrol.app.

Why ?

Can I even run Eucon 2.6.2 in Mavericks?
Disabling Appnap doesn't take care of the crashes. I've tried it all, believe me.
Perhaps its a network issue with Mavericks?
Still waiting and hoping to hear from AVID regarding this...
