Default Quad G5 vs Quad Mac Pro (known LE issues)

Once the eventual owners of the Quad Xeon start testing LE 7.1.1 in the next few weeks, please come back and post regarding any similarities (or lack thereof?) regarding existing Quad issues with low buffer sizes and RTAS usage? Any hints Digi how this has been addressed regarding your next LE release?

Yeah, I'd be interested in this too...but I have a feeling they'll be qualified machines for PTLE 7.2 or higher under the new OS (leopard?).

Leopard isn't expected before Spring '07. I expect Digidesign to qualify systems using Tiger well before then.

Based on preliminary testing, Digidesign is also expecting that version 7.1.1 of Pro Tools LE and Pro Tools M-Powered software (already compatible with Apple’s existing range of Intel-based computers such as MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and iMac) will function on the new Mac Pro without problems. Full qualification is expected late Q4 2006. Please note that 7.1.1 is a free update for all Pro Tools LE 7 and Pro Tools M-Powered software owners.
