Default Does Reason often freeze your G4??

off PTLE topic -- sorry.

Curious to know if other Reason users have problems with it freezing.

It freezes over and over and over again for me. The mouse will move, but Reason won't respond. Can't use the menus, and trying to do anything then results in a full freeze/crash... and i have to force restart.

I've tried reinstalling it, reinstalling OMS, new extension sets, but still it freezes. I've junked preferences and tried doing backflips, too.

and it's not just a USB problem (i don't think).

it's got to the point that using Reason becomes undoable (and i run it on its own... not CPU-complicated at all.)

any suggestions, tips, fixes, advice?

all much appreciated.

Hey TD, i had a similair problem w/ reason freezing. I had to enable a different extension set from my PTLE extension set. As my PTLE one is extremely stripped down. After doing that, i have had the occasional freeze, but only when having 2 subtractors, 2 redrums 1 nn19 and 2 dr rexes playing all at the same time and scrolling thru the dr rex patches on one of them.
Besides that, reason has been reasonably freeze free.
However, i have other problems, check out my other post regarding reason.

TD, i just did the ol' OS 9.04 base, minus all the printer stuff, video acceloration, internet, microsoft slop ect...and enabled all the digi stuff and reason, rewire, rex and rebirth, and all my extra trackball, and dvd/cd speedtools.
I also enabled file exchange, and disabled aladdin stuffit.
