Where can I find the serial number in PT9?

I looked under about protools... can find which one I have installed in that computer. I have 2 ilok and one serial number. So annoying

Well couple of things here.....You need to include more info for people to try to help you.......Two sentences just doesn't do it.......

Now you say serial....That means hardware.......(mbox, 003, ect)

I would guess (b/c i don't have enough info to be sure) that you mean authorization code - which is used when you reinstall....I may be wrong but then again i was really just guessing.

Why do you need a serial number? The ilok is all you should need for PT9.

I have 2 iloks I haven't installed protool9 in over two year got a virus wipping my drive
I cant find my auth code for one of the protools (comes on a yellow card)
I have one do I need the auth code to reload protools onto my system again.
like I said I know I put a code in once where does protools show you this? or it just doesn't?

I got PT9HD off ebay.....it didn't come with an authorization code..I never had to insert one for it to work.

I just have the ilok asset like you.

So after you install and you open the app for the first time it has two selections and i believe you just select the second which should say.....

"already registered just reinstalling"


or something like that......and your done problem solved.

Yes there is no serial number its just on the ilok.
I jujst never like have no serial number because I was doing the upgrade to 10 and you never know. I've had upgrades just crash and then try to reinstall
