Default Re: Roland V-Drums & ProTools

The TD-10 has 8 outputs which works quite nicely.
1-kick
2-snare
3-hat
4-ride
5/6 stereo toms
7-crash 1
8-crash 2
No argument from me on the TD20 sounding better but ezdrummer makes it sort of a moot point.

Thanks for all the comments - I agree the TD-10 or TD-20 would solve many problems but it's not in my budget. I picked up a like new TD-8 set for almost nothing.

albe1952 - Your setup looks nice - does the single hi-hat get you both open and closed action ?

Looks like I need to just purchase either EZ-Drummer or Strike and use the V-Drum brain only for triggering. I can do that now using the samples in Reason Adapted's ReDrum and it works good but I need more usable samples.

Yes, I was stunned to find that the open/close hat works even better triggering ezdrummer than it does with the stock TD10 sounds. Go figure. I have the Drumkit from Hell, Nashville and classic drum expansion packs for ezdrummer so I have more samples than I know what to do with.
