It's goog to hear the system works now. I am on mix as well. I had problems of overheating on an MDD dual 867 with 4 cards. Ended up using my 933 instead which is solid on 10.3.7 and 6.4.1.

I just can't understand why you are still using SCSI though. I left that behind with G3s because of the expense. A seagate barracuda 7200 running as a salve drive inside the G4 will run 64 tracks comfortably for me. At £50 or so it makes more sense and one less thing in the PCI buss.

I need to stick with what I have right now..
So why did ya upgrade? Not to hound you but I couldnt justify a new OS, plug ins, and video card just so i could run OSX, rewire, and have ADC.

I'd say admit defeat and get back to work. We'll NEVER have a version of pro tools and OS as stable as what we have in os9 with pro tools 5.1.

But hey, to each his own.

I have a dual 1 ghz quicksilver running a D24, Mix Farm, DSP farm (= Mix Core) -is there any known problems with this model. I like it seems a nice machine than the MDD
I also have a first gen dual 1 GHZ MDD which did not run Pro Tools as well as the dual 1 GHZ Quicksilver go figure!!!!
--I thought the higest version of OSX that Mix supported was 10.3.4 not 10.3.7
