Carillon users.... advice needed please..:)
I'm about to chuck my newly constructed (to digidesign and allenstein spec) system into a huge pit and bury it!
Ideally I'd like to be able to run Protools le with my mbox smoothly, without buffer errors and CPU spikes, random lock ups etc.. and more importantly know that when I sit down for a session, I'll be able to be a musician and not a computer troubleshooter.. I'm willing to bend the credit card and buy a digi approved Carillon PC but will this solve my problems...? Do the Carillons make plain sailing with Protools or are they just as likely to kick up errors as a carefully built home PC...? As they are "Digi approved" is this really a guarantee for compatibility....? If anyone has a Carillon please post your experiences along with the Carillon system you use... Thanks in advance freakybeatz |

Hi,
Try the tweaks at http://www.musicxp.net/ first. AND!!!! Have a separate system (Xp with ProTools LE) and data drive. Harry |
