optimizing performance in xp
hi, im wondering if anyone can help make my system run better. my setup runs fine for what i use it for but i tried out the davec test and didnt do so well and im wondering why not. here's my computer:
A7V333 mobo AMD 2100+xp processor 512 kingston ddr ram maxtor 30gb 7200 ata100 drive i read the installation notes from digidesign and did the following: i enabled USB in the BIOS there wasn't an option to disable the PCI parity i enabled DMA for my IDE drive i disabled windows sounds i didnt disable my network card because i use it to get online. also my IRQ for the digi001 soundcard is 19 which im not sure is so good but i don't know how to change it or how to decide if i even should. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
