Default Pro Tools 8 no cost for mbox

Hey. i recently update my windows from XP To Windows 7 64bit.
now, in order to install drivers for M BOX 2, what do i need to do if
i have a 7.4 protools version disc that doesnt work at windows 7 64bit?

I got all the activions codes and everything but just cant find any link for "no cost" like promissed me from you.
im useing cubase 5 but i dont mind to install protools 8 just for the mbox to work.

PLEASE please please help!

You definitely need PT8.0.4 for W7-64.

PT8 is not a free update if you have owned the MBox/7.4 for awhile. You said you updated from XP to W7, so I'm guessing that is the case.

If indeed, you just purchased the MBox, and it came with PTLE7.4, when you register the MBox you may be eligible for a free upgrade to PT8. If that is the case, you will receive an email after registering with a download link and a code for PT8.


Otherwise, you will have to purchase the upgrade to PT8.

i have this -
"Pro Tools LE 8.0.3 Full Installer (Windows) does not support original Mbox"
in my Product downloads at avid..
will that do the work?

but let me understand something.
my x box will not work anyhow untill i get the protools 8.0.3?
it cannot work without protools?

That is correct. The drivers to make the device work are not compatible with Windows 7 until version 8.0.4
