Default PT8 running VERY SLOW.

Just installed a V8 upgrade on an 8-core Mac running 10.5.6. I have an HD6 with three Raptor drives and 12GB of RAM.

First off, it takes a very long time (4+ minutes) just to launch ProTools and once the session's open the playback response is very slow (2+ seconds to initiate playback after hitting play).

All of my hardware settings and playback engine are set as they've always been - on 7.4.2 this config was very snappy even on large sessions.

Everything else seems to work fine, plug instantiation, redraw, zoom, shuttle, scrub, etc.

Any thoughts as to why this slowdown is occurring?

Here in my studio was happening the "slow zoom issue" in 2 of 3 computers after update to pro tools LE cs2.

Both machines are Mac Pro 2.66 running 10.5.6 with multiple displays.
What i did was open system preferences and click display > color when a session was opened.

Later of this the screen turned quickly brighter and everything went to normal.
Besides this issue pro tools is running ok, with alot of crashes in some sessions.
