Re: Protools & Powerbook PISMO?
001 running on a 500mhz pismo. had to upgrade to 384 total mb RAM to make anything good happen, but with that upgrade, i've been happy.
of course you need a magma chassis to make it happen, which has a really loud fan, so be forwarned that you'll have a little fan noise to deal with, but otherwise its a great little system. =a= |

Re: Protools & Powerbook PISMO?
i use the system primarily to do overdubs at home for projects that are based at the office, so i'm never recording more than a track or two at a time.
i do, however, pull 16+ tracks off of it w/o too much trouble, and that's often (but not always) including a quicktime movie playing in protools on the powerbook's monitor. it is stable, but not as solid as my g4 system of course. but i don't know if that's a factor of the laptop or the 001... =a= |
