Default ML4000 LE versus L2

Has anyone ever compared each of these on the Master Fader of an entire mix?

I always found the L2 to be fairly transparent (when used conservatively, that is).

Can the ML4000 LE give comparable results in loudness? I'm mixing rock and hip hop.

Thanks for any info.

By the way, I have the Massey L2007, but not crazy about it.

I think the ML4000 is way better in that it just reacts more musically and doesn't breakup like the L2. I am not sure what LE removes from the controls, but its still probably sounds better then L2 which is way to harsh for me.

Hey,

Didn't I see you on GS?

I definitely prefer ML4000 to L2. To me there have been a lot of innovation on the limiter scene since L2 was released.

ML4000 definitely...

Worth a demo...that's for sure.

the ML is nice. only difference with the LE is that it's not multiband.

i love my ML4000LE. i think its the only plugin i definitively use on every mix.
